Description:

44 Mallards on a small area of open water at the Williamstown Gulf. The Mallard is our most common and widespread duck, often seen in small groups or pairs on shallow water. In flight, note bold white wing bars, white tail, and female's pale brown belly.

Habitat:

Ponds, lakes, sallow water, city parks, coastal lagoons.
