Paper Bubble Sea Slug

Hydatina physis

Description:

A large, mostly dark purple sea slug with bluish edges and a lightly calcified shell. Sometimes found washed up in tide pools but mostly found on coral reefs. Highly specialized predators that feed specifically on cirratulid polychaete worms.

Habitat:

A tide pool in Collaroy, NSW, Australia
