Mourning Dove

Zenaida macroura

Description:

At 3:00 p.m., I walked upstairs to the second floor. I then looked out one of the windows, that was facing the street. I saw two doves sitting on a limb, of a palm tree. The dove on the left, was just sitting there. The dove on the right, was preening itself. These two doves, stayed on that palm tree limb, for about twenty minutes, before they both flew away. I have seen other species of birds, sitting on that same palm tree limb, at different times of the day. This palm tree limb, is about fifty feet or more, away from where I was standing. I do not have a telephoto lens with my camera, so I was not able to identify the species, of these two doves...

Habitat:

I saw these two doves, sitting on a limb, of a palm tree.

Notes:

Two doves, were sitting on a limb, of a palm tree. These two doves were far away from me, so I was not able to identify, which species they came from.
