Prickly pear is a real nuisance here in Aust, probably because it's such a hardy species, and It just loves our climate. The fruit is awesome, and the flowers very pretty. I saw these prickly pears a few days ago on my trip out west. The whole region looks like this on steep hillsides (last pic) - http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/190...
