Unidentified moth

Description:

Crambidae? This moth was about 15 mm long, mostly white speckled with brown, and finely fringed. Visible snout. Resting with its wings closed on a grass stem. Flew away before I could take a side shot of the snout...

Habitat:

Alpine meadow, alt. 2000 m ASL.

Notes:

Going into autumn the vegetation is now less dense at this altitude, making it easier to photograph this type of moth.

Thank you Satyen! Indeed the hair looks like it's woven in a fine fabric... It'll need this coat: this pic was taken on Tuesday but it snowed there yesterday!

Fantastic spotting Daniele! It looks as it is draped in a natural fur coat :-)
