Description:

3 milky white 1/2" long eggs in a 3 1/2" diameter nest woven from twigs & lined with down, hidden in one of the small maples we planted last year.

Habitat:

Semi rural wildlife habitat.

Mom was on the nest when I checked this evening so I now have an ID!

Thanks Liam, I will keep an eye on it but it's at the end of the driveway 800' from the house so the chances are I won't get to see the mother unless I'm very lucky.

It could be a Song or Chipping Sparrow. If you can, try observing the shrub from a distance to see if there is any activity.
