Blue Dashers are paler blue with a black-tipped abdomen and more extensive amber on the wings (unless a fresh individual like photo 2).

Liam , could this be a Blue Dasher? i can see a little amber on the wings.Besides the abdominal appendages do not look white,as in the case of Pond Hawk.
