I would think that it's entirely possible that the extra tail might confuse, if not deter a predator, Janelle. And thank you, Namitha; I've never seen a two-tailed gecko.

Sweet! The third image really shows the tail well. I wonder if having the second tail or whatever helps to protect it from predators a bit as it almost looks like a spine or something that it could use in its defense. Even if it can't or doesn't, I would think it would give predators pause, maybe enough time for him to scurry away to safety, eh? Great find!
