Leaf beetle

Phaedon sp.

Description:

It is a small soft shelled beetle with a set of mandibles. This one had a black and green sheen.I cannot find the species because of the legs on this one to be yellow instead on black. It also had a soft elytra and yellow antennae.

Habitat:

Semi-urban, Fort Worth, Texas.

Notes:

Some species of Phaedon, it might be Phaedon viridis but Phaedon viridis does not have yellow legs.Leaf beetles feed on many low growing plants like mint and other species of grasses and herbs.
