Polyphemus moth

Antheraea polyphemus

Description:

Brown and gray with one pale eye-shaped mark at the center of each wing and two-sided fluffy antennae that are shaped like leaves, 5.5 inch wingspan

Habitat:

Based on the destruction to the leaves of the sunflower leaves right next to where I spotted this, I assume the caterpillar of this moth ate the leaves.
