Description:

Small butterfly with seasonally variable coloration. The upperside of the hindwings is nearly black in the summer. The upperside of the forewings is brownish-orange with dark spots. The underside of the wings are mottled brown with a white comma in the middle of the hindwing.

Habitat:

Spotted in a mixed forest on the edge of a stream.
