Description:

Big tree. Bunches of cup-shaped flowers; rather tulip-like in fact. Colour is flaming orangey-red.

Habitat:

Roadside. Urban. In Bengaluru where reportedly it does very well.

Notes:

This ornamental tree was introduced in India around the end of the 19th century. Apparently bats love this flower.
