American Dipper

Cinclus mexicanus

Description:

Small, stocky gray bird with a brown head. Constantly bob up and down. The only aquatic song bird in North America, getting to see these guys jump in the water and swim around like little ducks was too awesome!

Habitat:

High elevation, fast flowing stream on the side of a highway.

Super cool bird,we have here the european "cousin" the Cinclus cinclus,same beahvour,very dificult to spot,congrats and thanks for sharing
