Drone Fly Bee Mimic

Description:

This is a second series I have done with this stocky bee mimic drone fly. It is a medium sized fly and though buzzes aggressively when caught it is harmless. it captivating eyes are a pleasure to photograph with their black barred lines. It is a common visitor to flat white or yellow headed flows where it assists in pollination.

Habitat:

Common and widespread in Africa and Asia where it visits gardens with before mentioned flowers and the surrounding diverse landscape
