Leaf Beetles - Flea Beetles

Description:

Chrysomelid Leaf Beetles. Large colony on the leaves of a bush. About 5 mm in length. Dark, slightly metallic, blue-green-black with orange legs and prothorax. Enlarged hind femora for jumping.

Habitat:

Semi-urban area on outskirts of San Cristobal de Las Casas. Open bushy fields of secondary growth.

Judging by the enlarged hind femurs, I'd say Flea Beetles.
