Eurema blanda
A very common yellow butterfly 1 - 1 1/4 in wingspan from Pieridae Family of butterflies. The females are usually paler than males. The caterpillar is pale green with a white stripes at the sides. Hostplants include Caesalpinaceae and Mimosaceae including delonix regia , Casia and Aslbizia lebbeck.
Open grasslands , cultivated and populated lands.

thanks Daniela and NuwanChathuranga, Those are locally known as Cogon grass and that's where these butterflies take shelter during the night.
A delight to see all those beautiful butterflies flying in the grass!
