Green Lacewing (Aus)

Leucochrysa_insularis

Description:

Small green lacewing, known sometimes as the "aphid lion" for its rather useful habit of eating aphids.

Habitat:

Common throughout the east coast of Australia. It bears a distinct similarity to the green lacewing of America, but I am unsure if they are thesame species (or for that matter, whether my ID is correct).

Notes:

These are often found at night when an outside light is left on (the case with this spotting). I would appreciate any confirmation of the scientific name.
