Nelumbo lutea
A large Pale Yellow flower stretching above the water with large rounded leaves also above the water. Seed pods from other flowers are also obvious. The red grass makes you think Fall is coming.
Ponds, still waters. This is once again at the Jacaranda Library pond in Venice, but my where always comes up Sarasota.
I thought since we will likely be moving to Northern Indiana, I had better get one more picture of these Lilies taken.

Hi Alice...moving to Indiana....that will be a change in climate for sure!! I will miss your postings in Floridan's Flora & Fauna! Your photo shows a good variety of plants-really pretty!
