Both sexes are metalic green, hence distinguishing females from male is not a simple task. However, females can be separated by the swollen segments 9 and 10 and also by observing the anal appendages.
Seen in patches in the forest near streams. I saw a group of these on low tree branches and exposed roots in just one section along the banks of a dried river bed running through a tropical forest.
