These rather elegant looking Herons are "mostly light blue-grey in colour, with a characteristic white face. It has a long, slim neck and a pointed grey-black bill. The legs are long and dull yellow in colour. They often have a reddish colour on the underparts [see pic 3]." (Birdlife Australia: http://birdlife.org.au/bird-profile/whit... )
Perched in these trees at the waste water wetlands.
These White-faced Herons were hanging with a big group of White Ibis (Threskiornis moluccus), see also pic 3 where they are perched together.
