Juvenile Eastern Yellow Bellied Racer

Coluber Constrictor Flaviventris

Description:

Approximately 8 inches long, dark head, red-brown tail tip, pink-brown spots on it's underside, and black markings on it's top. He was very relaxed and after he calmed down from being picked up he just coiled up in my hand and sat there. he didn't seem to want to leave.

Habitat:

Sunning himself on the rocks that surround our front yard garden.

Notes:

Oddly calm. Seemed to enjoy the warmth of my hand, and didn't want to leave when I let him go.
