Description:

This yellow-rumped warbler is flashing its yellow rump patch. It is a very popular warbler and you can usually see several at one time. It is dark-streaked, has blue-gray upper parts, and a yellow rump. White throat and belly, black breast. The head is black with yellow crown, white eye-rings, and faint eyestripes. Wings are dark with yellow shoulder patches and two white bars. Tail is dark with white corners.

Habitat:

Paynes Prairie State Preserve, Gainesville, Florida.
