Description:

Growing to 3 m tall in open ground, it is an evergreen climber. On juvenile plants the leaves are oval and entire; on mature plants the leaves are pinnately lobed. They are matte green and covered in silver blotches. The insignificant flowers are rarely seen in cultivation. The specific epithet pictus means "painted", referring to the variegation on the leaves.

Found this specimen on the forest floor of Mt. Humarap/Tatlong Krus in Paete, Laguna, PH.
