The cap was green, convoluted, and very slimy. The stipe was pale yellow, gelatinous, and had little green dots near the apex.

Habitat: Growing on the ground in a pile of rotting wood in a mixed forest.

The color is amazing, and some are even more vibrant than this one, especially when they have yellow stems. I don't know the cause of the green color, but you're right, it's not chlorophyll. Some speculate that it could be caused by some kind of parasitism.

Wow! I thought Fungi were NEVER green...what pigment is this? Not chlorophyll!!!
