Tree Bracket Fungus (Polypore)

Ganoderma Sp.

Description:

There was only two growing on the tree at the time, meaning that it must've died recently. Coincidentally, there was also a Termite mound in the same forest not that far from it, which could be the cause of it's death, but it looked like it fell down, probably because of strong winds. The biggest one was about the same size as an IPad Mini screen and the top was withe with the bottom being brown.

Habitat:

MS SAS Secondary Rainforest
