Cryptic termites

Description:

These tiny critters fascinated me with their assymetric body patterns. I guess it's to do with their guts being visible but they definitely can't hide their association with some football club.

Habitat:

When searching for fungi I turned a large damp log in a local nature reserve. Usually a dry sclerophyll eucalyptus forest. Log was carefully replaced !!

Notes:

Quick research suggests a group of termites that don't always build an above-ground nest. Genus might be Nasutitermes?
