Glorious leaf beetle

Paropsisterna gloriosa

Description:

This glorious leaf beetle is one of the most vividly colored with four yellow spots on the red elytra. is found on freshly growing eucalyptus.

Notes:

With good rain, there are many different species of leaf beetles around and some are causing serious defoliation along the roadside. There were only two of these found.
