The seedpod stage of the Western Pasqueflower. The long white silky feather-like hairs are attached on the top of the stem.
Subalpine meadows. This one was spotted on the Naches Peak Loop Trail, Mt. Rainier National Park, WA.

It's my favorite, too! Aren't they so lovable? I call them "the fluffy guys."
This is one of the most unique plants when in seed. It's a personal favorite! I like to call it a 'mop-top'.
Looks like they would make great dusters! :-)
