Keel-billed Toucan Ramphastos sulfuratus and Grey-headed Chachalaca Ortalis cinereiceps
Chachalacas got very noisy when the Kill billed Toucan showed up, this foggy afternoon.
Thank you so much for the ID, FaredinAliyevski...You are 100% right.
You have got right the both species. In Costa Rica there are only 2 species of Chachalaca (Genus: Ortalis), Plain Chachalaca, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plain_Chach... and Grey-headed Chachalaca (your species) but if you check on Wikipedia, it says also White bellied species is found but that's wrong so you don't get confused, here is the right distribution of the White Bellied Chachalaca, http://www.birdlife.org/datazone/species... . It would have been impossible to distinguish the two species but the Plan Chachalaca are found only in a small part of Costa Rica that does not include the spot you have spotted these birds http://www.xeno-canto.org/species/Ortali... . I hope I didn't overload you too much :).
