Skink

Eutropis multifasciata

Description:

Found basking in the sun after the rains, atop Lohagad fort near Lonavala. 20 cm long, 3 cm thick at its thickest part. Has golden bands running on the sides of its body. Moist smooth skin. No web between claws.

Habitat:

Mountain top. Spotted in rainy season.

Notes:

Did not budge on being approached. Must be confident about its camouflage? Sluggish?
