Thank you Maria, even more strange is that there was a dead bee inside with the stainer, i could not make out if it was eating it? or just happened to be in a flower with it? tried to get the pics more clear, but alas, my lens keeps focusing on outside of flower...

Wow! Maybe it evolved that way for camouflage when inside that plant? I don't know, but it looks almost like a part of the plant.
