Eurasian grass spider

Agelena orientalis

Description:

Agelena orientalis is a species of spiders belonging to the family Agelenidae. It is one of the commonest agelenid spiders of Greece, along with A. labyritntica. It differs from the latter, at the pale colors of the abdomen, and the black spotted knees. It was photographed while sharing the same net with a Holocnemus pluchei (a marbled cellar spider), on a wall in Skiadades village, Tzoumerka mountains, Greece.
