Forskal's Pleurobranchus

Pleurobranchus forskalii

Description:

A large side-gilled sea slug, highly variable in color ranging from light golden brown to dark violet brown. White arks usually outline the tubercles. Nocturnal.

Habitat:

Shallow lagoons, reef crests, pools and sea grass beds. Indo-Pacific

Notes:

Spotted at a depth of 5 m during a night dive. Rather large at about 25 cm in length.
