Leucistic anna's hummingbird

Calypte anna

Description:

This was an interesting find that didn't last long as other hummingbirds finally chased it away but I was able to get some pics before it fled.

Habitat:

Spotted next to a trail at the Tijuana Slough National Wildlife Refuge. Nearby was a bush with red flowers that many hummingbirds were attracted to (pic 5).

That's a special spotting.
Leucism or albinism seems particularly unfair to hummers.

Thank you so much Sukanya. I was shocked I was able to get pics of it. It was being harassed by the other hummingbirds so it would fly into the brush to hide and finally, it left. It was a treat to see.
