Andrena clarkella
A female Andrena clarkella... the first one this season for me. This species relies on Salix, more specifically Salix caprea for it's survival. The females harvest the pollen as food source for their offspring , which they never get to see themselves. So everywhere you see male Salix caprea trees with yellow pollen, you could find these early flying wild bees. The females are very quickly disturbed and don't take long to heat up... with their nice furry coats ;-)
