Description:

These are smaller pine trees and usually grow from 9–22 m (30–72 ft) in height, some are much smaller depending upon growing conditions. The needles are 2 to 4 cm (0.79–1.6 in) in length, are in clumps of two and are yellowish-green in color. Cones are slightly curved at the tip.

Habitat:

Jackpines typically are found on poor, sandy soils.
