A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
This lichen, which is predominant in the high arctic regions, is very specific to areas with birds, and (I assume) more specifically, bird excrement. Not sure of the name, can anyone provide some information on it? This lichen was photographed near Gull Canyon, a rookery for Thayer's Gulls and Glaucous Gulls, at Arctic Watch Lodge, Somerset Island, Nunavut
