Cobra Plant

Arisaema utile

Purple and maroon coloured cobra plants of 1 foot height plants were spotted. Camera lens cover given for scale.

I spotted many cobra plants in the shaded wet slopes of Kyongnosla Alpine Sanctuary of west Sikkim, in the month of June. Nearby sunny slopes had grass and rhododendron.

The photo was taken by myself in non-digital SLR not digital camera., then printed. Later I pasted the photo on a paper and scanned it to save it digitally. The two photos are of the same place from different angles. Later referenced:

Hello sghosh91,
Welcome to Project Noah. This is a site to post wildlife (no pets or zoo photos, please) taken by you. In case you already know the name of the species you have photographed...go right ahead and fill in the boxes. The Suggestion box is for others to give you names in case you need help with identification. In case you agree with the suggestion, use the Edit option (under the photo on the screen) and input the information so that the spotting is complete. Also, please fill in where you saw the species...not what books say about where it is found. Each spotting gets its own page! Even if it is the same species taken on different days.
Enjoy the site. Good luck with more spottings!
