Common Whitetail dragonflies (young males)

A couple of Common Whitetail dragonflies spotted on the boardwalk that goes through the central wetland area at Huntley Meadows Park. These individuals are young males, as indicated by the incomplete white pruinescence covering their abdomens. The individual shown in Photo 1 appears to be younger than the individual shown in Photo 2. Related Resource: Pruinescence
