Broad-Winged or Red-Tailed Hawk

We happened upon this young hawk in our front yard. He is devouring one of the menacing neighborhood pigeons who have taken to roosting on rooftops in droves. A family of hawks has moved in and is helping to clean up the neighborhood.

Spotted in Southern Arizona Desert area.
