Intermediate Egret Ardea intermedia in breeding plumage
Commonly found on freshwater lakes, rivers and ponds. Photographed on a small lake on the campus of Pacific Adventist University near Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea.
The pinkish bill and upper legs as well as the long filmy plumes indicate it is in breeding plumage.
