Fishing Spider (Dolomedes)

Dolomedes scriptus


I found this spider on a dead tree log in a lake (about 10 feet from shore). I canoed over to the tree to photograph some mushrooms I saw on it, but then I found this too. It is a juvenile fishing spider, about 1" big.

Hi Kunzah, thanks for your ID help! I went to the link and I don't think their markings look quite the same. I have posted this spider over at BugGuide and you can see a much larger picture here:
