Description:

TL: 15-22mm. FW pattern and color are variable. Resembles Definite Tussock Moth but often is more uniformly gray or brown, usually with less obvious blackish streaks in outer ST area. Female (not shown) is wingless. HOSTS: Various deciduous trees. NOTE: Two broods. (Peterson Field Guide to Moths of Northeastern North America; By David Beadle & Seabrooke Leckie.)

Mixed forest edge.

Those fossil-like antennae and tusk-like protrusions. The dull green color as well
