Hi Pamela, this cutie is certainly of the Plestiodon genus. The "Blue-tailed Skink" is actually an Australian species. This lizard is likely either a Five-lined Skink (Plestiodon fasciatus) or a Southeastern Five-lined Skink (Plestiodon inexpectatus), both of which can be found in Kentucky.
