Bidens aristosa
A type of daisy I believe, by the leaves and basic blossom characteristics. Yellow heads around 5 cm at the largest. Eight-petaled leaves in a deep buttery gold. There were a lot of pollinators hanging around these, despite the fact that it had been raining on and off all day.
Blueberry field.
Native tickseeds appears the better match here. Though I'm open to further insights.
