These cool critters are America's largest species of millipede, and, fortunately for us down here in Florida, they are practically EVEYWHERE! Colors can vary a bit, but basic browns with peach or pinkish legs is most common. Totally harmless, and in fact they make very interesting pets...I've got some in a 5 gallon tank I take to schools and educational programs. They munch on a chunk of decaying wood that I found them under.
