Corrallorrhiza trifida
Spotted near Grassi Lakes, in the Rocky Mountains of Kananaskis Provincial Park, Alberta.
Common locally in mossy woods or in not too wet bogs, or sometimes in the open Dryas mats. In the Rocky Mountains often above timberline, Circumpolar.
All coral-roots lack proper roots and derive their food from decaying organic matter.
