Description:

Black and yellow tiger moth of the Family Arctiidae, with orange coloring to the hair of the prothorax, wings yellow and black.

Habitat:

Semi-urban area on the outskirts of San Cristobal, Pine and Manzanilla forest and open areas with grass and bushes. Edge of mountain wetland.

Apantesis phalerata looks right to me, but looking into some other similar finds would be a good idea! :)
