Description:

Family: Nymphalidae Subfamily: Nymphalinae. Wingspan: 4.2-7 cm. Upperside is brown. Forewing: 2 orange cell bars and 2 eyespots. Hindwing: 2 eyespots with purple, blue, white, orange and black coloring. Feeds on the nectar of white asters and possibly chickory in photo.

Habitat:

Meadow abundant with low plants and flowers

Notes:

Still flying around fine without a large portion of its left wing.
