Red-breasted Sapsucker

Sphyrapicus ruber

Description:

Head and chest a deep red. White line mustache. White to almost pale yellow belly with faded black barring. Wings and back is black with white barring and a white wing patch. Quiet bird that hardly uses it's call.

Habitat:

Spotted it on Pine and Pepper trees. But heard spotted also on other types of trees such as Eucalyptus and Sycamore.
